This article is not so much directed toward Senior Dogs but rather all dogs. If you want to have fun for your dog when offering them chews/treats give them a choice. It’s fun watching how they determine what they want and is sometimes surprising.
For example I can take two chews that look identical out of a bag and offer them to one of my dogs and she snubs one chew over the other. I do the same with my other dog and he seems to snub the same one. Then I bring another chew out and the give them each another round and they end up liking the one they snubbed.
It’s just interesting watching how they go through the decision making process and it seems like they appreciate the chance to decide for themselves.
It’s sometimes the little things in life that can bring a lot of happiness for you and your pet.
